1. Introduction to Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic doctors (NDs) attend 4-5 years of graduate school (the same amount of training as medical doctors), with a focus on nutrition-based medicine, natural healthcare, and drug-free interventions for improving health. They are licensed as primary care providers on the whole West Coast, and about 1/2 of the states. In Washington State, it's law that their medical services must be covered by insurance companies. The licensure of naturopathic doctors as primary care physicians in all 50 states would greatly help improve access to science-based natural medicine, cost-effective healthcare, preventative medicine, and drug-free healthcare services.
